Test pattern
TopCoaching.com Experts gathered following test pattern after speaking to candidates who appeared for junior level technical positions at Cognizant. However, the test pattern can change anytime and hence we do not recommend to the candidates to depend only on the following unofficial test pattern.
1.Cognizant paper consists of three sections
1) Verbal 25 questions to be completed in 20 minutes
2) Analytical 25 questions to be completed in 30 minutes
3) Attention 20 questions to be completed in 20 minutes
Verbal Sections:
This section typically consists of following types of questions:
1. Choose the correct sentences among given sentences
2. Choose the incorrect sentences among given sentences
3. Arrange Jumbled sentences
4. Two reading comprehension passages.
(Paragraphs followed by deductions, filling blanks with correct words)
Analytical section:
This section typically consists of following types of questions:
1. Problem on cube.
2. Venn diagram (5 question)
3. Data sufficiency problems.
4. Puzzles
Quantitative Section
This section typically consists of following types of questions:
1. Ratio & Proportion,
2. Inequalities &
3. Quadratic equations
Attention Section
In this section most of the problems were of type: “odd man out“ figures, “What comes next in the series” and “Statement – Conclusion”.
Correct answer carries 1mark
Wrong answer carries 0.25 marks.
